~ There is a way that nature speaks, that land speaks. Most of the time we are simply not patient enough, quiet enough, to pay attention to the story ~ Linda Hogan

It is not necessary to read long statistics, to see that only we, as human beings harm nature. Just one look around- the rivers have lost their color; we need to escape very far away from our towns, to be able to breathe normally, dying trees and fishes.
“It is not my responsibility. I am here for short.” - Many people’s point of view. Even we are here for such a short time, and yes, nature has survived many like us before. In this period of about 60- 70 years we only exploit the best sides of nature. And in this time our wish is, our personality to be threaten well, with respect and love. Just think about, may be this is natures wish too.
Do we have to pay for each of nature’s presents, to be able to appreciate them?
Bulgaria and the counties near are waking last years up with the knowledge to protect and keep alive what is given us for free.
We have a long way to go, to learn and this realization to become part of our life.
A small detail in this is to grow into the habit to carry and use a shopping bag.
Everyone can participate to avoid the everyday growing mountains of polyethylene bags. Concerning an article, written from Veselin Dimitrov from 30 April 2008 in capital.bg, the quantity of using polyethylene bags in Bulgaria is 3, 4 milliard for one year. The time needed for decomposing of polyethylene is between 100- 400 years. (http://www.capital.bg/show.php?storyid=491396)
Here is also some info about the general waste disposal in the EU: http://epp.eurostat.ec.europa.eu/cache/ITY_PUBLIC/8-09032009-BP/EN/8-09032009-BP-EN.PDF

With the wish to reduce the use of polyethylene bags and with a compact foldable shopping bag, bought in Berlin began the existence of Eco Bags Bulgaria. The idea, to produce handy bags, everybody can use many times. Most of them are produced from cotton, polyester and jute fabrics. The variation of models is endless.
Many companies have realized, that by putting their printed or embroidery logo on a shopping bag, they show care for nature and advertise their product in the same time.
