The belgian architect Vincent Caillebaut was inspired by water lilies to create a floating home that will provide shelter to the inhabitants of islands and coastlines which are expected to bedrowned away in the coming decades because of the fact that the climate warms up.Infact he was inspired by the great lilypad of Amazonia Victoria Regia.
More than 50.000 people will be hosted in the eco-city which will have a total recyclable structure. Moreover it will be capable of reacting to UV rays by absorbing atmospheric pollution. All type of renewable energies will be integrated such as thermal, solar and photovoltaic energies, wind energy etc.
